The global electronic warfare market is expected to reach $24.3 billion in 2020, according to a forecast by market research firm ASDReports. This reflects a compound annual growth rate of 5.37 percent from $17.7 billion in 2014.

“Though airborne and naval platforms have dominated electronic warfare in the past decade, the land-based electronic warfare systems are now gaining importance,” the study concluded. “There is also an increasing popularity of smaller electronic warfare systems that can be integrated with smaller platforms such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and patrol vessels. The market will see considerable growth due to stealth aircraft and naval vessels.”

Latin America will be a major growth region, especially Brazil, as will the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.
