Elbit has been awarded a $90 million contract to supply electro-optical sensors for an Asia-Pacific nation.
The Elbit news release did not identify the nation but did say the four-year contract is for the SPECTRO XR system. SPECTRO XR is a long-range, day/night, multi-spectral electro-optical sensor system.
SPECTRO XR can be installed on aircraft, aerostats, naval vessels and land-based platforms.
“The variety of systems and solutions we have recently launched represent a range of different fields of activities within Elbit Systems for which our customers worldwide have expressed interest, and we hope other customers will follow,” said Elbit CEO Bezhalel Machlis.
