Comtech awarded Navy terminals contract

Comtech has been awarded a $1.8 million contract extension for Navy communications terminals.

Under the contract, Comtech will provide additional Advanced Time Division Multiple Access Interface Processor production terminals, as well as engineering support services, for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, according to a Comtech news release.

The ATIP is a Layer-2 Ethernet bridging device installed on ship, shore and submarine platforms in the Navy Multiband Terminal. 

“The ATIP program is providing significant improvements to the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) system’s performance through dynamic bandwidth management, support for higher XDR data rates, and increased throughput,” Comtech said.
