FLIR wins SOCOM sensor contract

Arabian Gulf nation special operation forces conduct a Visit, Board, Search and Seizure mission in a non-permissible environment during Exercise Eagle Resolve 2015. The exercise affords 29 partner nations the opportunity to address the regional challenges associated with asymmetric and unconventional warfare in a multi-national environment. This is the Government of Kuwait’s first time hosting Eagle Resolve, which is the premiere Arabian Peninsula/Gulf Region exercise between the United States, Gulf Cooperation Council nations and other international partners.

FLIR Surveillance Inc. has been awarded a contract to support Special Operations Command (SOCOM) sensors.

Under the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, which has a maximum value of $14.7 million, FLIR Surveillance will support electro-optical sensors at SOCOM’s Technology Applications Program Office, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

The contract was awarded noncompetitively.
