Army awards Raytheon $56.7M contract for infrared sensors

The Army has awarded three contracts for third-generation forward-looking infrared sensors.

Raytheon was awarded a $56.7 million contract for development of B-Kits for integrating third-generation infrared sights to ground vehicles, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

Raytheon was also awarded a $26.8 million contract to develop a Dewar cooler bench to improve third-generation infrared technology. DRS Network & Imaging Systems was awarded a $26.1 million contract to improve infrared technology.
